Rich’s responsibilities include direct oversight of Technical Compliance, Government Relations and delivery of Field Services. He has extensive experience in technical standards, internal controls, regulations and rulemaking as well as gaming product testing. As one of the original global gaming certification experts, who thoroughly understands compliance issues from a regulator’s perspective, Rich’s experience and dedication is recognized by gaming stakeholders for his ability to build consensus and create mutually beneficial environments between gaming regulators and other industry stakeholders.His long experience directing New Jersey’s slot testing laboratory, widely recognized as the world’s most technically sophisticated state operated test lab, brings to BMM a well-developed ability to further enhance the competitiveness of the industry’s operators and manufacturers through cost-effective, innovative, world-class compliance testing.
In addition to having directed the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement’s testing laboratory for more than 22 years, Rich was appointed in 2005 as the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s first Director of Gaming Laboratory Operations and, in that capacity, established Pennsylvania’s testlab, its operating procedures and technical standards and, in 2006, oversaw the opening of Pennsylvania’s first two casinos.
