Richard Williamson – Senior Vice President of Engineering Services and Technical Compliance, Americas
Rich has direct oversight over the delivery and implementation of product testing and field services conducted in the Americas. He has extensive experience in technical standards, internal controls, regulations and rulemaking as well as gaming product testing. As one of the original global gaming certification experts, Rich thoroughly understands compliance issues from a regulator’s technical and policy perspective. This experience and ability enable Rich to uniquely build consensus and create mutually beneficial environments between gaming regulators and other industry stakeholders.
His experience in New Jersey, one of the world’s most sophisticated gaming jurisdictions, brings to BMM, a deep knowledge and ability to assist gaming stakeholders’ growth through compliance activities.
Rich served as the first director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s Gaming Laboratory Operations from August 2005 to January 2007 during the period when the slot testing lab was being physically developed and staffed and the regulations were being created. He is a 25 year veteran of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and was the Director of the Technical Services Bureau testing laboratory.
